I read this story with tears in my eyes. Another victim of hatred and another vessel that was used by the enemy. These types of Tragedies involving children are endless all around the world. I could not imagine coming home to one of my children murdering my other child.
The eldest child, 13, was babysitting her younger sister, 7 while their parents went out. The younger sister left a note in the bathroom reminding everyone to flush the toilet. The eldest sister waited in the bathroom for her sister with a butcher knife. She began stabbing her when she came in. The sister attacked her with two knives. She suffered more than ten stab wounds.
Police said the attack was brutal. The 13-year-old called her stepfather then 911 herself. The 7-year-old was rushed to the hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries and died.
The teen was taken into custody and charged as a juvenile.
Because she was 13 years old, she would be diagnosed, treated, and rehabilitated after mandatory release at the age of 21.
Prosecutors made the decision to charge her within the juvenile system rather than an adult, which will hopefully bring rehabilitation. Hopefully then, she will not harm anyone else.
This impossible decision stemmed from the teen’s age, the unlawful pre-meditation, the murderous act itself and the laws in place for all juveniles that commit heinous crimes like this. Prosecution as an adult was considered but ultimately rejected. The law is hopeful she will be rehabilitated for 7 years, then released at the age of 21.
Lawlessness Starts In The Home
“Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may be well with you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.” Deuteronomy 5:16
MURDER STARTS IN THE HEART
“For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, acts of adultery, other immoral sexual acts, thefts, false testimonies, and slanderous statements.”
Matthew 15:19
I began looking for answers and guidance in such a tragic story in the Bible. Of course, many believers usually think the answers are not there because we assume God’s word is not applicable to our modern times. I know EVERYTHING in the Bible is applicable to our lives. It must be read to find the answers. No matter the circumstance, the times change, but the sins and nature of man do not. Nor does the enemy change. Many believers are always accepting this fallacy that God and His Laws and Holy Orders should adapt to our times. Not us adapting to Him.
Really?
So, if that is the case, does redemption still apply today even though Christ died on the cross over 2000 years ago? Does His blood not cover ALL sins now? Is His Holy Spirit not here with us as Jesus promised? Is Jesus dead or alive? Saying no to any or all means Christianity no longer exists and were lying to one another that we are Christians when clearly, we are not. Accepting God’s laws from yesterday, today, and forever is A True Christian.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
Hebrews 13:8
Obviously, the enemy wants us to believe such heresy and blasphemy. We need God’s law more than ever and, in every home, protecting us from the evils in the world.
This family needs Christ in their lives with intense counseling.
This tragedy is a wakeup call to all families as well. I don’t know how the enemy entered this home, but it became a bloodbath.
This poor 7-year-old was the collateral that paid the price. More likely it was not about a note left in the bathroom. It was about
Something much darker and deeper. The 13-year-old obviously hated her sister for some reason.
She became a vessel for the enemy to do his evil works. The parents came home to a bloodbath and their daughter was responsible. It was not an intruder or a burglar or some deviant from the neighborhood. It was their child that they trusted to babysit her sister.
I can only surmise that because she called the authorities on herself, that she knew she had done something very bad and then realized it was a crime because her sister was dying. I also Believe she felt an issue was finally resolved. Her beloved sister had become an enormous issue in her life and must be dealt with. Unfortunately, termination of her life was the resolution, and a precious life was taken.
As I stated, the answers to a situation like this is in the Bible.
We are living in an evil world in the last days where we must be vigilant to apply the word of God in our lives daily. Not just on Sundays or Bible study or other church events. We must be just as relentless as the enemy who is out to eliminate precious souls from the earth and ruin lives.
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have more abundantly.” John 10:10
We must be aware of how the enemy enters our lives, our homes, our families, our governments, and our churches. We are to abide by the same commandments, apply them. live them and teach them to our children so they are protected and then teach their families and so on and so on.
We were given promises and commandments to protect us and all that we love and cherish. These lives were devastated by a common enemy that will even use a child to do his bidding.
The soul of the victim is at peace with Father.
As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the Lord is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him.
Psalms 18:30
