“An Assault On A Child By Any
Living Animal, Creature
Or Human Is Not Justified.”

This story struck me as very odd and
unnatural. I did a little research on
my own and was surprised that these
kinds of stories are more common
than we think. It is a true story, and
more common than we think all over
the world.

There is a sense of vulnerability for both
the human and the animals sharing the
same territory. While I read this
particular story, I felt bad for all parties
involved.

“..JASON DUETSCH, AREA
WILDLIFE MANAGER FOR CPW…
“WHILE IT IS A NATURAL REACTION
FOR COW ELK TO BE VERY
DEFENSIVE DURING CALVING
SEASON, IT IS NOT OFTEN THEY
HURT SOMEONE, ESPECIALLY A
CHILD.”

An 8-year-old girl was playing 60 yards
away from a female Elk and its child in her
neighborhood when she was attacked.
The Elk became aggressive and stomped
on her. The little girl was taken to the
hospital and recovered from her injuries.

Four days later, a 4-year-old boy was also
attacked by another female Elk. The little
boy was at a playground a few yards away
from the Elk when he too was charged and
stomped on. He also had to go to the
hospital. He recovered from his injuries.

“What is the disconnect here?”

Both incidents happened in residential
areas in either a neighborhood, or a park.
I do not live in Colorado, but I have heard
from others how beautiful its magnificent
scenery given to us by The Almighty. This
obviously includes the extraordinary
wildlife that comes with it. This should not
be happening and certainly not in
designated places for whimsical play
times, and leisurely escapes in such a
beautiful state.

I would assume anyone living there would
take in breathtaking views and the crisp
mountain air that follows without a fear of
animal attacks.

What is the disconnect here? Why are Elk
roaming in a residential neighborhood, then
attacking the residents as well? In this case
children. Scary to say the least, as well as
traumatic. These children may have
physical and mental scars for the rest of
their lives. We can only pray that they will
survive both.

The CPW officials later posted a warning
sign to the residents and visitors of Elk
attacks at Rocky Mountain National Park.

“FOR THE CREATION WAS SUBJECTED TO
FRUSTRATION, NOT BY ITS OWN CHOICE, BUT BY THE
WILL OF THE ONE WHO SUBJECTED IT, IN HOPE THAT
THE CREATION ITSELF WILL BE LIBERATED FROM ITS
BONDAGE TO DECAY AND BROUGHT INTO THE
FREEDOM AND GLORY OF THE CHILDREN OF GOD.”
ROMANS 8:20 NIV

There is always a story in the story that
I would like you to consider.

The animals are speaking LOUDLY.
We need to listen.

What are they saying?

What is the solution?

“THE COW ELK BECAME
AGGRESSIVE TOWARDS THE
WILDLIFE OFFICIAL, AND THE
OFFICER FIRED “NON-LETHAL BEAN
BAG ROUNDS”

As I stated, I feel bad for both the poor
children and for the Elk. I love both. Both
are God’s intricate creations by His hands,
and both have been given a domain, a
territory, a place to call home. Both parties
are now extremely vulnerable to one
another.

Obviously, the territories do not seem to be
clear to the animals. Why? As far as the
human domain goes, the territory is always
going to be clear. Humans Rule!

GOD PLACED PROTECTIVE INSTINCTS IN
ALL PARENTS, (EVEN NON-HUMAN)
ESPECIALLY MOTHERS TO DEFEND THEIR
CHILDREN.

Thats natural.
Thats normal.
Thats expected.

I know a relevant, unbiased story has two
sides. Thats a fact. The side of the TRUTH
outweighs both parties. It determines who
is right, who is wrong. Who is innocent, who
is guilty, what is just, what is unjust.

This is the case for us humans to determine
which TRUTH outweighs both parties since
our animal friends have no one to question
them, there is a disconnect between us and
them. They have no representation or
advocate.

WE ALWAYS ASSUME THE ANIMAL IS
WRONG BECAUSE WE ARE SUPREME.

I call this An Unnatural Disaster because an
Unnatural decision must be made for the
safety of the children, the Elk, and the
public. It is a hazard for everyone!

All living creations have the right to
live in designated territories that were
God-given. Man- given territories
have the duty to uphold what God
intended.

Unfortunately, I cannot interview the Elks
involved in these attacks. I cannot ask them,

“Why is your family in a residential
neighborhood and not in the woods,
mountains or forests where you belong?”

” Why were you nearby the park where
children play?”

“What upset you and your family to
attack?”

“Were you forced there?”

I can only imagine the answers.

“Our homes were timbered away by you
humans and drove us from our home,”

“The children were too close to our
territory.”

“We have nowhere to go.”

“We need to hunt for our children and family
because we are starving”

I could go on and on. It would make a
remarkable story to say the least.

Only Father can help us tell their story

IF WE LISTEN TO FATHER, WE CAN
ALWAYS HEAR HIM CALLING NO MATTER
WHAT WE SEE.
